A project that speaks the language of sound
TEDx Perugia has been bringing ideas worth spreading to the stage of Palazzo dei Priori for years, following the global philosophy of TED. For this edition, our studio is involved in audiovisual content production and technical sponsorship.
Our work includes the event’s sound design, multimedia production for promotional content, and audio supervision during live sessions. A unique opportunity to demonstrate how professional sound transforms an ideas event into a complete sensory experience.
Why sound design matters in live events
A TED talk is not just verbal content – it’s rhythm, atmosphere, emotion. Audio quality determines whether the audience – in the hall and streaming – stays captivated or drifts away. Research from the University of Southern California shows that audio quality affects perceived speaker credibility by up to 30% more than video quality alone.
Our approach at TEDx Perugia integrates three levels:
- Pre-production – Sound design for bumpers, intro/outro, transitions and social content
- Live – Audio technical supervision, wireless mic management, monitoring
- Post-production – Talk audio editing for online distribution, streaming-optimized mastering
